The class is highly structured yet very free-flowing depending on who shows up. Douglas makes sure that during the evening there is a little something for everyone, regardless of their spiritual level, previous experiences or personal goals.  The first hour we share common experiences from the busy week that are spiritually related.  We are often surprised how much we all have in common, and comment on the peculiarities as we all examine the noticeable variations in those themes as they happen to us. Those experiences are caused by subtle energies that influence us, affects us, and stimulate us, and by sharing our experiences, we learn how to make the best of the past week and experience insights into our personal growth at the same time. It has been the experience of many that they learned a valuable insight without having to follow a book's precepts or believe what the teacher or the group believes.  However, Douglas strongly recommends reading several books so that one may have an understanding of the "Language our Spirit and Psyche speaks" as well as have published authors give our experiences a voice. Douglas says, "It is my job to put into words those indescribable experiences and to explain how and why they happen." Frequently, Doug may draw on the Body of Teaching from many different Gurus, methodologies, Philosophies and even religions to make a point or intuitively assist you in relating to the new teachings comparative from your own history.

"The wisest man I ever knew taught me something I will never forget and although I never forgot it, I never quite memorized it either, so what I am left with is the memory of having learned something very wise and profound that I can't quite communicate to others, but my heart wants to hear more and I know where to find it." 

There are several mandatory exercises that take place in class one way or another. A lesson on what Loving the Love is, a lesson on what our Spirit Guides and High Teachers expect of us and as always, an experiential experience of our true and highest nature. We are encouraged to share our own hopes, fears and processes without being judged or assessing other class members journey. Please, no trying to give advice or fix troubles on the spot. It is through the presence of Love from the invisible Helpers in the room that the room itself becomes  the healing venue, not "mind or advice."  Time passes both slowly and quickly. Douglas always instructs or reviews his infamous One-Minute Power Meditation (the 1PM ) and of course There is always a guided meditation or even two!.  It may or may not involve music, chimes or a guided tour from a Channeled Being. 

"The most important feature of the class experience is that your psyche is allowing you to have realizations and insights from an emotional experience rather than mental information. Realization comes from a personal connection and not philosophy, scripture or rhetoric. The information comes from sensation and the down-pouring is a true Blessing." 

 At 9:30 class takes a small break, some socializing occurs and it's customary to leave a love donation of $3 in the basket on the table. Also featured is an inexpensive selection of spiritual books and tapes related to personal growth. 

 The second half of the evening is humorously referred to as the "Phenomena Portion" of the class. There may be another Guided Meditation, perhaps "Angels on Assignment," or Douglas may give a lesson by channeling any one of 147 different beings or personalities who deliver messages, psychic readings or surprise prophecies. When requested or needed, healings on any level may take place. At last and certainly not least, Doug or his Guides may nominate someone for an Activation in the famous Blue Chair. Class is scheduled to be completed at 10:30 pm, but rarely has it been the consensus of the group to peel themselves out of the mode of peace and bliss to enter the 3-D world outside.
