Soul Mates

The Search for the Twin Flame

and Understanding Soul Mates

Part One

Soul Mates

We all know that love is an essential, if not the most essential aspect of living. Successful love, however short or enduring, always requires it's constant companion, Truth.  To live "obviously" is to live in truth and yet, for most of us, truth is not enough and often suspicious since many are adept at bending the truth to suit their personal or selfish needs and agendas.  Cautiously,  if we are left to "their influence", we would rather use our own precious attention and energy to live and explore our own brand of love even more than truth.

In our quest for love, we learn that love is as complex  as life itself, and at best, elusive. I have found, felt and showed love in so many ways, and so many varying degrees than I am surprised to realize that love, like truth is just as elusive. Sometimes disappointed, but always hopeful, I still search for the love, affection, companionship and body connection and fulfillment in my mind and heart. At my age, I still haven't given up on finding the "one" or at this point, (anyone?). So, the horizon is hopeful and the Path to Truth and Love is still a priority, and I really want to find some one and learn something new  as well.

I was told by my teachers that I came to this earth to show love rather than to find it, and I relished in the simplicity of that adage or personal decree as well as the horror of it. That is not to say that I do not have a Soul mate, but I must be mature in my approach to finding love and showing love to those whom I choose (sometime involuntarily couple with) to be in a relationship with. Not everyone I feel comfy with is my Soul Mate nor can or should my Soul Mate be comfy. It's not always about pleasure and gratification, it could be more about evolving, and all change which some folks call 'molting" could be uncomfortable. If I really expanded the parameters of my thinking, it is quite possible that my orneriest adversary could actually be a Soul Mate. Hmm. But there is still yet more to consider.

I have, in the search for Ultimate Knowledge, Wisdom and Love,  discovered and devised the notion that I have a Twin flame that follows me around the universe and often, when needed,  we incarnate together and often not. However, because I am a complex spiritual being, aware of my "other bodies" in higher planes, I am aware, sometimes through Guided meditations, Hypnosis, daydreaming, wish-fulfillment and intention realizations, and even psychic readings, that I attract and repel people for a number of reasons and visa versa, others attract and repel me.  Therefore, in the course of my life, I have many soul mates. That means, these are beings that I have come into agreement with on a Soul level first and choose to interact with here on earth as close as one can be in the context of that agreement. In short we can feel, from time to time that we have many or have had many soul mates. Yet, there is the notion  that soul mates and "perfect love" somehow go hand in hand and Soul Mates are not always what you think in your wildest dreams.  I was not alone in believing that someday wonderful, I would meet the person of my dreams, the one I longed for, my soulmate. I believed from TV, movies and stories of lifelong marriages that I too would be honored and blessed with the perfect person to fulfill my dreams, longings and fantasies. The songs on the radios, the novels and poets have conjured this dreamy notion that the "one " is out there and from this romantic fantasy we believe we are entitled to a perfect mate.

We are born from our mothers in full bodily contact and, if we are lucky, into a whole family unit and one day we gain self-awareness and leave the nest, to strike out on our own hoping to be reunited with the comfort and security of someone close, personal, secure, and safe again. To put it more grimly than we are able to accept, this dream is just that, a dream. Not a single person on the earth is destined or obligated to serve you the kind of happiness and fulfillment you dream of, even if they were capable of it, they too are looking, or quite unnerving, perhaps not looking to fulfill someone else, let alone themselves. In our quest for truth we become whole and sovereign and realize that true love is a power inside us that comes from a sacred word unspoken and than our journey is for us not to become dependant on someone else but, in turn become so loving and so strong we attract the person who is also as wild and juicy as we are in which to share the fruits of the ventures that have been realized on the way to our Godhead worship. By relishing the inner love and the realizing the power and love we have to give, we naturally attract the person who understands us best and in that maturity we share the friendship and passion that we express, rather than receive the extra they are obligated to give us. We realize one day that while we came into the world in contact psychically with someone, that we will pass over and die alone, and through the words and meditations of love, that our connection to the other side will be of our own realizations to the other side and that will bind us to the infinite from which we sprang. We when return to the other side, our stories will be of who we
loved rather than who loved us. Ironically, the stories our friends will share & tell will be of you and I who learned that we came to this planet to show love rather than find love. We understand that we were the ones who knew how and had the where-with-all to do so. In that we found comfort and the rewards of God. God is the only being who is expected to give and give selflessly while we honor God by Loving others.
