The One-Minute Power
meditation is the most significant tool you will ever use in your
spiritual life just short of a bolt of Divine Light coming down from
the Heavens. Ironically, that is what the One-Minute-Power Meditation
is designed to encourage - so in the long run it's
all Ok.
The One-Minute-Power Meditation isn't
even the correct name for such a gentle technique but I have not yet
been able to come with a better name or phrase. After you learn the
1PM Technique, after you really experience and receive the fullness
of it, you can help me pick a better name. I am interested.
The 1PM was both a personal discovery
and a revelation from my Guides that resulted in a synthesis of
varied spiritual philosophies, varied meditation practices and other
teachers workshop applications that finally culminated in a
technique that works for the acceleration we are experiencing here
the 21st Century. This 1PM not only achieves immediate results but
more importantly, it avoids many of the of the problems and
difficulties that go with the other formal meditation techniques. I
must insert here that the 1PM is no real substitute or final
replacement for Formal Meditations, but ironically, the 1PM will
positively affect your Formal Meditations. I have been meditating
since the winter of 1966 and the majority of my most profound
experiences where not from my effort and discipline but clearly from
a Higher Source Blessing me - in hindsight I realize it was because
I wanted to be in that experience, not because I had to.
To develop a meditation technique
that you love to practice avoids the pesky way that we all, as
humans avoid doing things and in short developing the side-effect
that spiritual teachers deal with now called Meditation Guilt.
Meditation guilt is an inner voice that brings us down and puts
stories in our psyche which sound like "I don't meditate
enough" and "I am not doing it right" or "I am
not doing it the way I am taught" or worse" I will fall
asleep" and then there is "my body hurts" and the all
time big one, "my mind is too strong" or for beginners,
"I don't experience anything." With all those voices in
your head it's no wonder meditation a sensitive subject! In
contrast, the other side is that "professional meditators don't
make it look easy either! That we feign application because we often
see people who meditate successfully but they seem
super-disciplined, follow rigid rules and practices and many of us
are not willing to trade our fun life for a life of discipline and
rigidity and structure. I believe that we are all emotionally and
physiologically and spiritually wired to see God and be in the
blissful every moment with interesting "peak experiences"
without having to force anything or spend long hours in silence. Now
that's a great idea!
Ultimately I believe that meditation
is an ongoing experiential awareness that doesn't begin or end, but
is way of connecting to the perfect energy around us, an ongoing
experience of the invisible domain I call the cooperative
coincidental coexistence. The Shaman says, "there is no part of
anything that isn't connected to everything." Most of the time
we live and survive in our "minds" and aren't really
living in the Moment or experiencing the beauty around us. Ok, no
matter how cliché that sounds, your truth is the truth and it's all
around us - but we live in forces fantasy of our own creation and
when it doesn't work out we trade our fantasy for other fantasies,
all because we haven't really tasted and absorbed the real Love, the
real Energy, the real unfolding of this Energy or as I mis-name it
Power.
First off there is no right way of
doing the 1PM. It's you being with you. So, 90% of meditation is
simply the act of showing up and doing it. No two meditations are
alike, each one will be different because you are different and your
life situation is different. However, you will begin to notice
similarities according to month, heavenly cycles, waves and
influences and so many practitioners keep a diary or notebook. There
are as many techniques as there are people but essentially, there is
only one technique - attention to attention and that is it. However,
what you pay attention to - depends on what you get. For example if
you stare at a wall, you mind will eventually slow down and all you
have is wall. If your mind is strong and you need calm, then that's
what you want - then that's what you get. But let's say you found a
way to connect to a stream of Energy that as pleasurable, continuous
and colorful and eventually spoke to you. The you would become
linked with something infinite. Truthfully, there is no beauty in
killing the mind, the mind wants to participate in the enlightenment
process. Sounds exciting and it is. Where is this energy? It's over
your head. I mean it is literally over your head. There is halo, a
ring, a chakra, a series of chakras poised over your head, matter of
fact there are 5 ascending upward over the top of your head and each
ring or chakra has it's own set of characteristics, colors,
intelligences and rulership. All you have to do is reach up with
your attention, grasp the one you need, sit with for it minute (or
as long as you desire) and get out before your mind has a chance to
mess with it. That's it.
Is anything that easy? Well, if you
use your mind, your left-brain to imagine this - it won't work, so
you use both your right brain and your heart to experience this.
Scientifically it's all about bio-rhythms and brainwaves. Once you
experience a certain level of these places either during the 1PM or
in Formal Meditation you can imprint that level and search for your
"tell" in your body - and once you know your tell, your
psyche and higher self and physiology are so excited to experience
or re-experience you can go right to your tell (that high level) and
then use your right brain to connect to the even Higher chakras over
the top of your head. Ultimately, I will share with you that if you
meditate it, it will meditate you.
The mechanics of this, the physics of
this, the metaphysics as it's called is consistent. There is a
chakra at the very top of your head called the 7th Chakra or Crown
Chakra (aka The Blissful Gate). There is another Chakra placed about
12 inches over the top of your head, (The Spiritual Portal ) - you
can reach that one easily by expanding your aura. This happens
spontaneously top people during passionate music, sex or other
intense positive stimulations. Since electricity needs a medium to
flow through, your consciousness flows through your aura and goes to
Higher Realms. There is even another Chakra, this one is 3 feet over
the top of your head, (The realm of correspondence and the meeting
place between the Divine and the Spiritual. ) This is a place where
Realms mingle and where Higher Being communicate with each other in
an unspeakable language. From an earthly perspective, it is said
that it is easier for us to talk to Angels and than for Angels to
reach to us, this meddle place is a common area and we deserve to go
there. The Notion that no one can see or talk to god is nonsense.
There is still another Chakra, now 12 feet over the top of your head
(The Divine Realm). Finally, and for teaching purposes, there is
still another place to go and this is most important of all, it is
but a ball of Radiant Light 20 feet over the top of your head (Your
Monad or Higher Self). This ball floats in the Spiritual Sky and you
know everything and everything knows you. this is where you
communicate with all living beings and since this a soul level
experience you often make and arrangement Soul mate experiences on
this level first and then it descends downward into reality. When
you know this place, you can use the 1pm to truly live gloriously
and then therein lays the secret of "I Am that I Am." When
you learn this, you will know that you know something profound and
useful for the next Level.
Finally and last and certainly not
least, and why I put this last and not first, is that the whole
point of this technique is to go beyond mind, beyond logic, beyond
reasons, so to list reasons why it's cool to do the 1PM is
counter-productive. But, I have come up with a few "winning
points" worth noting and committing to memory so that it
becomes easier to Remember to Remember to meditate.
1. It's easy. 2. It's resulting. 3.
You can do it anytime. 4. You can do it anywhere. 5. You can do it
spontaneously without losing your active, living daily momentum
energy. 6. You can go in and have a vision, a message or coincidence
all in 120 seconds. 7. You can believe or intend you will do it for
only a minute and wind up doing ten, whereas if you thought to do 10
minutes, you wouldn't at all! 8. You can do as few or as many you
like per day. 9. You can do them with your eyes open. 10. You can do
them in a noisy place. 11. You can do them whenever your psyche or
inner self guide says to and there is no need to procrastinate since
it only takes a minute and your psyche knows best. 12. The more of
them you do, the more likely you will not feel as drained
spiritually or mentally and those awful periods become less and
less. 13. It takes less time to clear during a formal mediation. 14.
You become more sensitive to existing energies and perceptions you
might otherwise miss. 16. because the purpose of life is not peace
but change and to be creative and ideas come from above. 15. Because
the inner life wants to be with YOU.
Come to class, I will teach you the
One-Minute-Power Meditation.
